The authors establish that while the phraseologisation of terminological units and the formation of phraseological units from terminological items is an active process in the con-temporary language, the enrichment of terminological systems by terminologising phraseological units has a very limited role. The most active sources for enriching the phraseological system of the language are the terminological fields of sports, military affairs, technology and medicine, among others.
