Design of a Stacked Circular Differential Microstrip Antenna for operating frequency of 2.45 GHz
In this paper, an analysis involving the design of a differential circular microstrip antenna with improved gain is presented. The antenna has been designed in a stacked configuration having one bottom four top (1B4T) circular patches. The antenna has been designed and fabricated for 4G band at center frequency of 2.45 GHz. The antenna has a gain of 10.35 dBi at the center frequency and exhibits VSWR ≤ 2 for frequencies between 2.35 GHz to 2.55 GHz. The designed antenna is intended to be used in energy harvesting, RFID tags and in wireless communication circuits those require differential inputs/outputs. Both theoretical and experimental results are presented, which are in agreement.
