Financial sustainability in Iraq, a future view

The recent period has witnessed an increasing interest in the issue of financial sustainability by researchers and economists, because it reflects the extent of the government's ability to implement its work programs for various activities without undermining its future ability to spend, so the importance of the study in analyzing financial sustainability indicators (assessment of the financial position) and factors Influencing it, in order to control the financial deficit in the general budget and limit its financing through oil revenues and internal and external borrowing, because of the negative effects that result from entering into the trap of external debt, because the existence of a sustainable financial policy means guaranteeing the rights of future generations without prejudice to the financial solvency of the state . The study sought to achieve a number of objectives, including demonstrating the importance of financial sustainability and analyzing its main indicators, as well as developing scenarios in the case of financial sustainability for Iraq.
