Optimization Strategy of Tianjin Passenger Transport Hub under the Collaborative Development of Beijing, Tianjin Municipalities and Hebei Province

As current Tianjin railway hub can neither share the pressure of Beijing hub, nor support the development of Tianjin “two-city pattern” (i.e., the Central City and the Binhai New Area), enhancing the function of Tianjin hub has become a urgent requirement for the development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Urban Agglomeration. Firstly, the development status of Tianjin hub is analyzed from national level, regional level and Tianjin “two-city” level. Secondly, from the angle of building a world-class urban agglomeration and the optimization of the spatial layout of Tianjin, the requirements for the optimization of Tianjin passenger transport hub are analyzed. Finally, a general idea of optimizing the function of Tianjin railway hub from two aspects, i.e., national hub and regional hub is put forward, improvement strategies of national railway hub and regional railway hub are studied, and some suggestions on air-rail combined transportation in Tianjin Binhai International Airport are put forward.
