Different measurements have been performed to investigate the effect of UWB and radar pulses on the receiver of a digital wireless communication system. First the coupling of UWB and radar pulses into a typical bar antenna usable for the 2.4 GHz ISM band has been measured. Based on the coupling measurements the effects in the baseband of a typical wireless receiver is being investigated for different radar and UWB pulses. Finally a worst-case analysis by using a HF switch is being investigated for a WLAN and Bluetooth system.
