Predictive Tuned Filter based Reference Current Generation for Shunt Active Power Filter under Distorted and Unbalanced Supply Voltage
A new predictive tuned filter (PTF) based generalized $p-q$ power theory for mitigating the current harmonics and reactive power to show the unity power factor operation under distorted and unbalanced supply voltage is presented in this paper. This proposed control technique is used for three-phase interleaved inverter based shunt active power filter (SAPF) to enhance the power quality in the electrical distribution system. The conventional voltage source inverters are being used as a SAPF, which severely suffering with shoot- through problem. This shoot-through problem creates electromagnetic interference (EMI), ringing, temperature rise, etc. These problems have been considered for the analysis purpose to design the interleaved inverter based SAPF. The proposed PTF is sensitive to detect the distortions in the supply voltage and extract the fundamental component of supply voltage from the distorted supply voltage without distortions and phase delay. The complete system is modelled using MATLABo/Simulink software to analyze the working with available, distorted and unbalanced supply voltage.
