ESÔFAGO NEGRO EM PACIENTE RECEPTOR DE TRANSPLANTE RENAL: UM RELATO DE CASO
Acute esophageal necrosis (AEN) is a rare clinical entity, witch typically arises in males with multiple comorbidities and under immunosuppression. The pathophysiology remains unknown. Manifestations include acute gastrointestinal bleeding, dysphagia and epigastric pain in patients with frailty and risk of cardiovascular impairment. Diagnosis is confirmed when blackening of the esophagus is seen on endoscopy, usually in distal regions. Treatment includes managing underlying conditions, maintaining hemodynamic stability and acid suppression with proton bomb inhibitors. We report the main clinical features and endoscopy findings in the renal transplant recipient with graft rejection and active cytomegalovirus infection with diagnosis of AEN.
