At the heart of the middleware is a software layer which accepts a query from the client and returns as the answer an RDF dataset. This software is an implementation of a mapping language from multidimensional data to RDF, or M2RML. The RDF dataset is a 'slice' of the data cube as defined in the W3C's RDF Data Cube Vocabulary.
