Analysis of Error Range in Calculation of Load Electric Power Losses in Wires of Overhead Transmission Lines when Neglecting Influence of Meteorological Factors
The article is devoted to the study of the error in the calculation of load losses of electricity in the wires of overhead power lines, which arise due to the neglect of meteorological factors. Load losses in the overhead power lines directly depend on the temperature of the wires. The temperature of wires depends on the magnitude of the flowing current, the ambient temperature, as well as meteorological factors such as solar radiation, wind speed and direction. Currently, in Russia the calculations of electricity losses in the wires of overhead transmission lines are carried out either when the resistance is equal to its value at 20°C, or take into account only the air temperature (usually the average monthly value). This can lead to significant errors, the range of which is analyzed in this article. Variable calculations of load losses of the electric power in wires of overhead power lines of sections standard for Russia at various combinations of current density in wires, configurations of the load curve and the meteorological factors characteristic for some cities of Russia are carried out. The error of electric power loss calculation at no accounting of a real temperature of the wire is estimated.
