The objective function is to minimize the total cost of the active power generated by the DG units. The optimization problem is subject to system constraints consisting of voltage limits, feeder capability limits, generation-demand balance, active and reactive of the distributed generation units limits. The problem is considered as an optimal power flow (OPF) problem and solved by particle swarm optimization. The performance of the proposed technique is demonstrated by practical distribution system of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), Thailand.
