To evaluate the performance of the proposed EVLAPP-SRLM, this study randomly recruited a total of 46 Grade 5 students from two classes in an elementary school of Taoyuan City, Taiwan who used English as a foreign language (EFL) to participate in the experiment. The two classes were randomly assigned as the experimental and control groups respectively using the EVLAPP-SRLM and the English vocabulary learning APP without self-regulated learning mechanism (EVLAPP-NSRLM) to support English vocabulary learning during the period of two weeks. 摘要

最近,智能手持设备的普及影响了人们学习英语的方式。为了扩大学习者在移动学习环境下的英语词汇量,人们开发了各种英语词汇辅助学习app。然而,在使用手机app自主学习英语词汇时,学习者的自我调节学习能力是影响学习成绩的重要因素。因此,本研究开发了一款具有自我调节学习机制的英语词汇学习APP (EVLAPP-SRLM),帮助学习者提高词汇学习能力,希望进一步提升学习者在移动学习环境下的学习绩效和学习动机。本研究以台湾桃园市一所小学为研究对象,随机抽取两个班共46名以英语为外语的五年级学生参与实验。两个班随机分为实验组和对照组,分别使用EVLAPP-SRLM和无自我调节学习机制的英语词汇学习APP (EVLAPP-NSRLM)进行为期两周的英语词汇学习。实验结果表明,实验组学生的学习成绩和学习动机明显优于对照组。
