The journey of data in the form of packets from the sensor mote to sink underwent many challenges. Huge research is carried to efficiently path the information and utilize the energy judiciously. Sensing, transmitting and receiving the packets and route it to the sink requires high range of power consumption. So, in recent times research is booming in the area of energy saving mechanisms.
