In addition, the goal is to examine whether and how the flow experience impacts on learning outcomes and what is the relationship between flow experience, learning outcomes, and perceived usefulness. The participants of this study were 116 university students attending a spreadsheet course on a voluntary basis. The data analysis was conducted using structural equation modelling. The results show that the elements of flow experience in this context are similar to those of Csikszentmihalyi, such as, balance between skills and challenges, the clarity of goals, concentration, time distortion, and enjoyment. Furthermore, the flow positively impacts learning outcomes.
