Health and safety Protocols in Chemistry laboratory and its Precursors Disposal with Chemical Incompatibility

In an educational organization, laboratories health and safety issues play very important role in smooth functioning of academic activities of the University. Most of the accident happened due to negligence of personnel protective equipment (PPE), poor safety norms and lack of proper orientation to students about usage of machines and chemicals. In this paper it is demonstrate the standard practices to be followed for setting up the laboratories of various courses in UAE Universities as per OSHA standards, Dubai Municipality, Dubai civil defense and Knowledge Human Resource Development Authority (KHDA) UAE. A Case of Amity University of Dubai is presented to set up the laboratories of Chemistry, Forensic lab, Nanotechnology, Mechanical Workshop, Aerospace, Construction, Hospitality, Electronics & Communication, Physics solar lab, Electrical, Media, Fashion design and ICT laboratories.
