Therefore, TNF-α blockade, infliximab may be useful for intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG)-resistant Kawasaki disease (KD) with high PCT level. We report a case of IVIG-resistant KD with elevated PCT level who was successfully treated with infliximab. Successful Treatment with Infliximab in Intravenous Immunoglobulin-Resistant Kawasaki Disease with High Procalcitonin Level: A Case Report
Procalcitonin (PCT) is modulated by sepsis-related cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukins. Therefore, TNF-α blockade, infliximab may be useful for intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG)-resistant Kawasaki disease (KD) with high PCT level.
