Zebrafish Cell/Neuron Quantitation by Modified Circular Hough Transform
Microscopic imaging has become a critical step in the analysis of zebrafish phenotype, but tremendous amount of images generated from large number of embryos have become a bottleneck of data interpretation. The availability of an image informatics pipeline will be a significant step towards achieving reproducible quantitation of zebrafish phenotypes in scientific research and high-throughput screening. This paper presents an automated algorithm based on modified circular Hough transform for quantitation of zebrafish cells and neurons in microscopy imaging. Experimental results of three datasets are shown to demonstrate the performance of the algorithm. This algorithm has been integrated into our CBI Platform
