The operating modes of BL IPOS PFC Zeta converter is thoroughly discussed and further the proposed converter is designed to drive BLDC motor. Thereafter, the converter is controlled using voltage follower technique to achieve controllable output voltage for BLDC speed control. Correspondingly, the unity power factor operation accomplished for better power quality performance. The six step electronic commutation based switching scheme is employed for BLDC motor inverter in order to evade switching losses occurs in current control based high frequency switching technique.
