Climatic -geographical analysis of the influence of the temperature regime on the degradation of glaciers in the Zerafshan River basin

The problems of global climate warming in general and their impact on the melting of glaciers in Tajikistan are analyzed. Based on long-term observations of weather stations located in different zones of the Zerafshan River basin and comparison of changes in average air temperature over two decades (1960-1990 and 1990-2020), the process of climatic warming in the area is considered. Using long-term meteorological data (air temperature) and satellite images that recorded the degradation of the linguistic part of the Zerafshan, Rama, Rossinj, Touro, Dihadang and GGP glaciers, the linear regression dependence of the retreat of these glaciers on temperature growth is investigated.
