In order to implement OBS control plane three types of control and reservation architectures have been presented in literature e.g. centralized, distributed and hybrid. The hybrid architecture, presented by the authors, inherits the best features of distributed and centralized architectures such as scalability features of distributed model and best resource utilization of centralized model, In this paper a dynamic resource management for the hybrid architecture in the OBS network is presented. A design of different database tables required by different software modules to manage network resources during connection establishment/teardown phases is presented.
