Dialogues in the Lyrics of Iranian and Russian Poetesses: Parvin E'tesami and Anna Akhmatova
The article explores the use of dialogical forms in the lyrics of two poetesses – Parvin E'tesami and Anna Akhmatova. The work of the Persian poetess shows the connection between ancient tradition and new ideas embodied in her monazara, whose dialogical form serves to proclaim moral and philosophical ideals and denies personal passions in the face of fate. Parvin is a poetess of high preaching, social ideals and ascetic impeccable morality and selflessness. The poems of the Russian poetess embody the experience of individual feelings and passions denied by Parvin, the interaction of two souls which do not hear each other, and the wisdom that never sounds moralistic, but intimate and personal. And the dialogues of two souls in Akhmatova's poems intensively reveal the tragedy of love, which does not give harmony. The essence of Parvin's dialogues is the birth of truth from the comparison of two positions, while Akhmatova's exchange of utterances is a dialogue of misunderstanding. As a result, the study of dialogue as a poetic technique emphasizes the depth of differences between the two poetic systems, two types of creativity and spiritual world of contemporary poetesses, who regardless of time and culture, echo each other in confronting their tragic era and proclaiming their values.
