This article discusses the smooth control of traction motor supplied through multi-source converter using space vector modulation technique. The two batteries used in the system are considered as batteries, one of which has higher voltage than other. The battery with the higher voltage is main battery, directly connected to the motor while other battery is used to supply auxiliary loads in the EV. The working of multi-source converter using variable modulation index during running of motor is discussed and verified in MATALB/Simulink environment.
