Therefore, based on DIF analyses, aspects of fairness in competence- based testing as well as for the use in instructional processes to foster learning and teaching in the specifi c domain of economic sciences will be discussed. The DIF analyses are done in different ways: comparing individual characteristics as well as comparing companies’ properties.
