Objective: We evaluate the metabolic profile from risk factors associated with the development of atherosclerosis in patients with CKD. Method: Biological markers for renal function and associated with atherosclerosis were analyzed from serum samples of 23 patients before undergoing hemodialysis procedure. Results: We observed a correlation of HDL with creatinine. Moreover, a positive correlation was observed between serum albumin levels and the values of VLDL and triglycerides, concomitant with a decrease in HDL.
