The most important process parameter is the temperature in combustion chamber. The traditional PID control method is widely adopted in the actual production. In recent years, predictive control has been put into use due to good robustness and rapid responsive-speed. However, this method has large overshoot and large steady-state error. To solve this problem, this paper will introduce a novel method of controlling the temperature of the foam glass furnace: predictive temperature control based on fuzzy logic. The simulation of the overall system was implemented and tested in MATLAB/Simulink environment.
