Political meaning of mindset types created with Sagiv-Schwartz values
In this paper, we explore cultural mindset agency theory. We show that the three bipolar traits of a cultural agency personality (cognitive orientation; figurative orientation and operative orientation) result in eight extremal and contrasting types. The three traits of mindset agency theory are independently created from, but their meaning is closely related to, the bipolar traits of the Sagiv-Schwartz value universe. This can be used to give an empirical meaning to the eight types. Applying this to sociopolitical contexts, this enables one to characterise the flows of predominant streams of political thought in societies and organisations.
