Algorithm for classification of symbols when recognizing a mathematical expression

The article describes the features of the process of recognition of symbols of mathematical expressions. The possibility of simultaneous execution of structural analysis and character classification is investigated. For the initial initialization of the symbol classification process, a segmented binary image passes a “gross” classification by the Bayesian network. The article describes an iterative process of classification of symbols of the mathematical expression, which is implemented using the methods of machine learning.
