The population was made up of all type 2 diabetes patients, for a total of 223 respondents. Targeted sampling was applied to a total sample of 69 respondents. The questionnaire was used to collect data. The results of this study show that the factors that cause dietary non-compliance in patients with type 2 diabetes at the Mutiara Timur Public Health Centre. The majority of respondents with type 2 diabetes were older than 45 years (68.5%), were women (62.3%), had a high school education (56.5%), employee (72.5%), low income (72.5%), suffering from DM 1-5 years (85.5%). Lack of knowledge regarding dietary instructions (42.1%) and weak family food support (55.1%). It may be concluded that the age, gender, education, profession, income, duration of diabetic suffering, knowledge, and family support are factors of dietary non-compliance among patients with type 2 DM at Mutiara Timur Health Center.
