Using virtual reality technology to train the crew of helicopter can improve their skill to put out fire efficiently and reduce property loss. However, current methods of visualizing water-dropping of helicopter in virtual environment cannot simultaneously ensure real-time performance and accuracy. On the one hand, the existing visualization methods, which have been widely used, are often just visual imitations and cannot reflect the physical laws of water-dropping. On the other hand, complex computations are required for the general fluid modeling method, which cannot meet the requirement of real-time response in a VR system.
