Replication is a technique applied in various cloud systems, which increases the performance of a system by improving its availability and therefore minimizes the response time to services. In this paper, some existing replication strategies are surveyed and inspected for various parameters such as availability, consumption of storage space, response time, etc. This study aims to verify whether these techniques meet the expectations of a replication strategy. We also propose a comparative study of the different approaches presented in this article. According to this study, we can conclude that there is no universal strategy of data replication in the cloud computing.
