By analyzing the existing Web GIS system based on VRML, this paper points out its disadvantages and introduces the next generation standard for Web3D - X3D(Extensible 3D specification). 摘要
Web GIS正经历着从二维系统到三维系统的发展,其中基于VRML的Web GIS是三维Web GIS最流行的形式。通过对现有基于VRML的Web GIS系统的分析,指出了其存在的不足,并介绍了Web3D的下一代标准——X3D(可扩展3D规范)。提出了一种基于X3D的Web GIS模型,该模型具有VRML无法比拟的优点:稳定性好;易于实现大场景图形和异构数据库的集成,空间数据共享和相互操作等。
