Selection of high quality peers and parallel downloads require a multi-source-hit query paradigm. The existing algorithms for multi-source locations need more message and replica maintenance overheads. According to the resource layout attributes in unstructured P2P systems, in this paper, a Replica Pointer Maintenance (RPM) scheme is proposed. RPM focuses on replica management which improves the query hit rate.
