It consists of signal generator and display simulator. Water depth information was generated according to GPS and Electronic Navigation Chart (ENC). Then the data was sent to display simulator through either network or serial port in the format of NMEA0183. The display simulator showed the information about water depth graphically based on OpenGL according to user's setting. Finally, the system was implemented on the cross development platform Qt.
