It consists of signal generator and display simulator. Water depth information was generated according to GPS and Electronic Navigation Chart (ENC). Then the data was sent to display simulator through either network or serial port in the format of NMEA0183. The display simulator showed the information about water depth graphically based on OpenGL according to user's setting. Finally, the system was implemented on the cross development platform Qt. Design and Implementation of Sounder Simulator Based on Cross-platform
In order to make deep impression to the trainee on sounder's operation in navigation simulator education, a kind of sounder simulator was designed.
