建立湖北省长江经济带县(区)绿色发展指标体系，探索绿色发展水平的计算方法，对比湖北长江经济带48个县级区的绿色发展水平差异，得出结论:1)湖北省长江经济带城镇绿色发展水平参差不齐，两极化严重;2)湖北长江经济带形成以宜昌、武汉、黄石为绿色发展集群的增长极;分析影响城市绿色发展指数的因素:自然地理条件的优劣、交通便利程度、人口密度大小、产业结构合理等对城市绿色发展指数均有正向影响。
