In this paper, a new face detection algorithm is introduced combined the skin color segmentation and the AdaBoost algorithm. The simulated experiment results show that this algorithm mentioned in this paper, not only reduces the false detecting rate and missing rate, but also obviously improves the detection speed. Study on Face Detection Algorithm Based on Skin Color Segmentation and AdaBoost Algorithm
Because skin color detection had high false detecting rate in color image with complex background and the AdaBoost face detection algorithm does not work well in multi-pose and multi-face images.
