Evaluation of the Transient Process of a Buck DC - DC Converter, using FFT Analysis of the Output Voltage
The electronic power converters are one of the most common devices that are used in every electronic device. From smallest devices such as mobile phones, to electric vehicles or even bigger technology. They convert the power in both directions, from lower to higher and reverse. There are many different types of DC - DC converters. In this paper will be discussed one type of converter, buck DC - DC converter. By estimating the output voltage of this type of converter, it will be shown how harmonics act in several working conditions to generalize the difference between the ideal and real working conditions. Spectral Analysis will be presented for each of the harmonic of the DC - DC converters. The circuit schemes will be provided in LTSpice.
