The Realization Pattern of Korean Final-Ending ‘-ji’
The purpose of this study is to confirm the realization pattern of the intonation of the Korean final-ending ‘-ji’. In addition, we examine whether there are differences in the realization of intonation in Seoul/Gyeonggi-do and Daegu/Gyeongsangbuk-do depending on the sentence type. And the different utterances between the two regions are presented through the intonation type of the final ending ‘-ji’ appearing in the two regions and physical properties(utterance length, utterance start point, utterance end point, slope). The experiment of this study present objective data using a statistical program after extracting it by conducting production test on participants. An important point in this study is that it presents the difference in intonation between the two regions according to sentence type through objective data.
