Universal figure of merit for arbitrary-order optical differentiators
A universal analytical figure of merit for performance evaluation of optical differentiators is introduced, which allows one to estimate the acceptable input pulse bandwidth-range to achieve a desired processing accuracy from the filter's physical parameters.
