Problem statement. The work compares the indicators of physical condition of the first-year students of the architectural and technical faculties and proves the necessity of making appropriate changes to the curriculum in the discipline of \"Physical Education\" for the second-year students. Methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of data, pedagogical observation, pedagogical testing, anthropometric research methods, functional methods of cardio-respiratory system research and methods of mathematical statistics. It was found out that most of the physical development indicators of the girls surveyed are in compliance with the normative, and do not need additional influence or deliberate correction of body weight.
