IETF 6LoWPAN enables the IPv6 protocol over IEEE 802.15.4 Low-power Wireless Personal Area Networks (Low PAN). The paper proposes an extended hierarchical routing protocol (E-HiLow), which reduces the memory requirement and the number of control packages and improve the path recovery and address allocation in HiLow.
