A center-fed radiating surface has four arms acting as a magnetic dipole and the ground plane acts as an electric dipole. The combination of two orthogonal dipoles leads to a unidirectional end-fire radiation pattern with a high Front to Back Ratio (FTBR). The beam is switched in four directions by the step size 90° using PIN diodes in an azimuth plane. The found gain is 3.22 dB and FTBR is 20.19 dB respectively.
