Analysis of Switchboard Sectionalizing Effectiveness with Solving the Problem of Long Distance Protection in Electrical Networks up to 1Kv
Currently, the main problem of long-distance protection of 0.4 kV networks is the insufficient sensitivity of backup protection devices, which can lead to the ignition of cable routes. The approach to solving the problem under study is quite diverse. This article discusses the partitioning of a switchboard as one of the schematic solutions for the long distance protection problem. Based on the calculation of current-carrying parts heating and analysis of the fulfillment of the cable non-ignition conditions, the areas of application of various cable lines from the point of view of the short-circuit current thermal effect are identified. Evaluation of the effectiveness of applying circuit solutions as a way to improve the remote backup protection of low-voltage networks is given.
