When thyroid nodule fine-needle aspiration (FNAB) cytologic results show follicular lesion of undetermined significance or atypia of undetermined significance (FLUS/AUS, Bethesda III) or follicular neoplasm (Bethesda IV), the results are often called indeterminate.
