For further integration of safety analysis and system modeling, we propose a new approach to evaluate and assess the safety property of embedded systems quantitatively. We establish the safety model of embedded systems by extending AADL with fault model, identify causal relationships between elementary failure modes, put forward the formal method to transform this safety model to DSPN (Deterministic Stochastic Petri Net) model for quantitative analysis and made transforming rules to support safety assessment automatically.
