Furthermore, a two-degree of freedom (2-DOF) PID controller and its tuning methods have also been discussed. Lastly, Genetic Algorithm (GA) has been employed so as to optimally tune the PID controller. The tuning methods for PID controllers have been tested. The simulations are carried out in MATLAB Simulink (2020a). The results are then recorded in tabular form and compared with classical tuning methods present in literature.
