Development of 3-D electron beam models for transverse-wave devices
New 3D electron beam with CWC (Cyclotron Wave Converter) model that contains large number of charged spherical particles which are characterized by proper values of coordinates, momentum and time of injection into concerned region. Each particle interacts with external electric and magnetic fields and internal space charge field of beam formed by encirclement of particles in concerned beam region. Multiple iteration process is used to achieve necessary precision of computation of beam motion. The developed codes with helical and 3D beam models are applied to simulation and design of powerful microwave devices with high efficiency level, the devices like cyclotron wave converters, synchronous wave TWT, gyrocons and magnicons.
