摘要
Más rápido y eficaz。 在谷歌Scholar、MEDLINE、PubMed、World Wide Science、Kidney International、ScienceDirect和Scielo数据库中进行了文献检索。
Serum ferritin as an indicator of severity in patients with COVID-19
más rápido y eficaz. PALABRAS CLAVE: COVID-19, ferritina, hiperferritinemia, diagnóstico, gravedad.(DeCS) SUMMARY Ferritin is increased by a strong inflammatory reaction caused by SARS-COV 2; Therefore, a narrative review was carried out that aims to determine the association between serum ferritin and severity in patients with COVID-19. A bibliographic search was carried out in the databases Google Scholar, MEDLINE, PubMed, World Wide Science, Kidney International, ScienceDirect and Scielo. It was found that the mean serum ferritin increased from mild to critical cases of COVID-19, being higher in non-survivors. It is concluded that there is a positive relationship between severity due to COVID-19 and elevated levels of serum ferritin, therefore, its determination can select patients who potentially have a greater risk of developing unfavorably and in this way be able to offer a faster treatment and effective
