The sample of the study consists of 16 high school students who migrated from various earthquake regions to Ankara. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. In the study, a semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool in order to determine the future anxiety of earthquake survivor high school students. Descriptive and content analysis were used in the data analysis of the research. As a result of the research, it was determined that the primary expectation of earthquake survivor students about the future is to return to their own homes. High school students stated that experienced people are important in order to achieve something they want. They also stated that it is important to study more, do research, and make an effort. High school students offered various views on what to do when they could not get what they wanted. The number of participants who gave up and accepted is few among them, and the participants who found new ways are in the majority. Earthquake survivors high school students expressed their opinions about their preparation for the future, both positively and negatively, due to the disaster they experienced. It is stated that they experience numbness, deterioration of psychology and learning to act alone in life. In addition to this, they also stated various positive thoughts such as learning to take precautions and providing a positive outlook. Most of the students stated that they are not very hopeful about the future. Most of them have a pessimistic view of life.
