A least-squares based methodology for estimating the electrical parameters of induction machine at standstill
This paper presents a novel methodology for the offline identification of the induction motor at standstill by means of least-squares. It is shown that, by choosing a suitable voltage waveform, all four electrical parameters of the induction motor (rotor time constant, stator resistance, stator inductance, global leakage factor) can be retrieved at standstill with only one test and without producing any torque on the rotor and therefore without mechanical stress. Therefore this methodology reveals particularly suitable for the self-commissioning of the electrical drives with induction motor. Finally the advantages of the presented methodology with respect to other in literature are highlighted.
