The natural characteristics in the engine and generator mode of the asynchronous machine, as well as the pumping/motor regimes for the hydraulic machine have been simulated and examined at a specialized hydraulic rig. This article presents and analyses obtained experimental results for two basic functional regimes of an electric pump unit consisting of an external gear reversible motor/pump and a three phase asynchronous motor.
