The sample size (126) was selected using multi-stage sampling technique. Descriptive statistics, Simple & Stepwise Multiple Regression and Pearson correlation matrix were employed for data analysis. Finding showed that perceived safety culture in the institution and access to medical facilities have strong influence on job satisfaction of staff in the Public Tertiary Institutions in Kogi State. The study concluded that investment in human capital development is a panacea for issues relative to job satisfaction; and that Public Tertiary Institutions in Kogi State must give attention to social safety and health care. 摘要

本研究旨在探讨科吉州公立高等教育机构员工的人力资本开发与工作满意度。样本量(126)采用多阶段抽样技术。采用描述性统计、简单逐步多元回归和Pearson相关矩阵进行数据分析。调查结果表明,在科吉州的公立高等教育机构中,机构的安全文化和医疗设施的可及性对工作人员的工作满意度有很大的影响。研究得出结论,人力资本开发投资是解决工作满意度相关问题的灵丹妙药;科吉州的公立高等教育机构必须重视社会安全和保健。本研究建议公立高等院校的管理层应增加人力资本开发的投资,以促进职业发展,维持其安全文化并改善获得医疗设施的机会;因为这些对提高科吉州公立高等院校工作人员的工作满意度至关重要。
