The sample size (126) was selected using multi-stage sampling technique. Descriptive statistics, Simple & Stepwise Multiple Regression and Pearson correlation matrix were employed for data analysis. Finding showed that perceived safety culture in the institution and access to medical facilities have strong influence on job satisfaction of staff in the Public Tertiary Institutions in Kogi State. The study concluded that investment in human capital development is a panacea for issues relative to job satisfaction; and that Public Tertiary Institutions in Kogi State must give attention to social safety and health care.
